This course is 02 credit course for PG Students.
Course Objective: Organometallic Chemistry (PG Level)
The objective of this course is to provide postgraduate students with an in-depth understanding of the structure, bonding, reactivity, and applications of organometallic compounds. Students will develop the ability to analyze organometallic reaction mechanisms, interpret spectroscopic data relevant to metal–carbon systems, and evaluate the role of organometallic complexes in catalysis and modern synthetic methodologies. Through this course, learners will gain the theoretical foundation and practical insight necessary to appreciate the significance of organometallic chemistry in industrial processes, sustainable chemical transformations, and advanced research. By the end of the course, students should be able to critically apply organometallic concepts to solve complex chemical problems and design catalytic cycles relevant to academic and industrial settings.
